February 18, 2008The Really Really Ridiculously Good Looking TourThe Really Really Ridiculously Good Looking Tour was awesome!! The first plus of the day was when Vicky, Gabby, and I were crossing the street to get to the venue, Ryland of Cobra Starship was crossing the street too! I yelled his name and waved, he said "Hey!", and smiled and waved back too. I didn't think it could get any better than that, but it did. As we waited in line Vicky-T walked by, I waved, and she smiled back. Later on, the band came out to meet and greet the fans. We got pictures, autographs, and hugs! Vicky got two hugs from Alex which is a big deal because Alex is her favorite. Cobra Starship are ridiculously good looking, no joke! The show started out with The Cab. They rocked! The band had a lot of energy and the crowd went crazy! Alex D. (singer) was a sweetheart, he reached out to the crowd, touched hands, and nearly got pulled into the crowd. Next up was We the Kings. I had actually read some reviews saying that their set wasn't that great... I completely dissagree. The band also had a lot of energy, made me jump up and down which was a lot of fun! Metro Station! Metro Station rocked my socks! Both "Now That We're Done" and "Shake It" were played, and it was awesome! Im obsessed with those song. The crowd went crazy when they realized that the Cyrus family where at the venue, a lot of Miley fans out there. I was actually not too happy about that because it stole the spotlight from the band for a little bit, but moving on! Also another awesome surprise was when Jeffree Star joined the stage, too cool!! The only not so awesome part of their set was that neither Trace nor Mason moved around the stage that much; Trace did but barely. Still... by now people were getting pretty hot, sweaty, stepped on, and squished. So the time finaly came for Cobra Starship's set. OMG all waiting in line, the starving, the dehydration etc... was worth it! They started off with "The City Is At War" everybody started jumping up and down and shaking their booty. Gabby and I were infront of Alex and at some point we made eye contact, I did a finger wave, he did the same, and he threw a guitar pick at me!!... Unfourtunately I didn't catch it :( I didnt see anybody get it so i figured it fell, I looked around on the floor but it was nearly impossible to see anything. After a while I gave up and continued to shake it. It was a complete surprise that they played a little bit of "Hollaback Boy" it was awesome! They also did an acoustic version of "Pop Punk is soooo '05" Travis from We the Kings joined the stage. I was surprised to find myself not squished during their set, except of course, when Gabe reached out to the crown, when everybody tries to get as close to him as possible. They ended their set with "Guilty Pleasure"... what an awesome song to end the night with, can't get any better than that right? Well it did! At the end of the show I still had hope left and I decided to look for the guitar pick again. The venue was really dark so it made it damn near impossible to see what was on the floor, fourtunately there were still some light flashing and something just happened to catch my eye. I thought it was the guitar pick, but when i tried to pick it up, I couldnt. It was stuck to something like gum, and because I couldnt see I thought maybe it was gum after all. A girl saw me down there and asked me if I was looking for something, as I said "no" I saw it again and I was sure it was the guitar pick after all, also the girl seemed to notice something too, I bent down, pulled on it, and voila! It was the guitar pick! BOO-YA! Too awesome! Alex aka Suavez started throwing some water bottles to the crowd and I happened to catch one, it had already been opened so I guess he had drank from it. Im a bit picky about drinking from bottles someone has already drank from, but hey I was really really thirsty! Im sooo keeping that water bottle, hey why not? haha :P This is one of the best concerts I've ever been to! I hope there are more like this to come.

October 8, 2007The Shins concert was awesome!!Hey guys!! Well the concert was awesome! ALL of my favorite songs were played and my friend Victoria and I each got a set list. Hers had James' footprint on it, and mine had someone's handwritting, we figured it was Marty's (my friends are sure it is) ... lets just leave it at that, don't kill my moment k? Thanks! Moving on... We met Johnathan (he's Swedish), which was a sweet sweet coincidence because my friends and I were just talking about how we gotta go to Sweden someday because we want to see Mando Diao in concert and about how hot Swedish guys are. While we were waiting for the doors to open, my friend Tiffany was talking about some bands that I had never heard of before, and he totally mentioned them! Like he had been reading her mind or something. That was crazy awesome! He also taught me how to say Bjorn Dixgard the Swedish way, but I already forgot how.
P.S. This is my first blog...ever!! P.S.S. If you don't know who Mando Diao or Bjorn Dixgard are, you are seriously missing out on some awesome music!
